All Beauvoir parents are invited to join Kaleidoscope on Tuesday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Beauvoir Library for a conversation about Furthering a Culture of Belonging within the Beauvoir parent community.
Kim C. D’Abreu, Beauvoir alumni parent, Kaleidoscope co-founder, and nationally recognized diversity facilitator, will lead parents in a thought-provoking conversation about furthering a culture of belonging—one that embraces the identities of each individual, encourages parents to be their authentic selves, and builds community support around the shared vocation of parenting.
Complimentary childcare will be provided for Beauvoir students pre-kindergarten through third grade from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with dinner included. Please contact Tamira Guevara (firstname.lastname@example.org) to reserve a space for your child by Monday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m.
About Kaleidoscope: Kaleidoscope affirms and supports the Beauvoir community as one in which parents approach conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion with vibrant curiosity, courage, and interest in connecting across differences.
“A kaleidoscope is a viewing cylinder that contains mirrors and assorted objects, such as beads or pieces of glass, each individually beautiful yet different from the other, that when reflected through light create a single magnificent, vibrant image. We believe that a kaleidoscope elegantly represents the dimensions of difference in the Beauvoir community, and how we can use those differences as connection points for greater understanding.”
