Morning Message for March 1

Dear Students,

We made it to March!! Are you ready for another weekend? Did you enjoy learning about some of our South American animal friends this week? I have one more for you to learn about. This feathered animal is both the National Bird AND the National Animal of Ecuador: The Andean Condor

The Andean Condor is one of the largest flying birds in the world. Because it has such a long wingspan (10 feet) and length (4 feet), the Andean Condor lives in windy areas so the wind can help it fly longer and better. This vulture has a distinct bald head and the female lays one egg every two years. What are the names of some other birds that remind you of the Andean Condor? Why?
