Happy Math Wednesday! Each Wednesday, I like to offer some challenges to see if your brains are awake.
Did you know that some of our Beauvoir students have been sheep shearers in the past? They learned about this important human resource and how to shear it safely from sheep that are cared for on local farms. Below left is one photo of a sheep farm where the farmer decided to safely dye his sheep different colors. My questions are below!
- Why do you think the farmer dyed his sheep different colors?
- If the farmer had six sheep and dyed half of them Beauvoir green, how many were green?
- What two colors could the farmer mix to get Beauvoir green?
- If one sheep can make two Beauvoir sweaters, how many sheep are needed to make 10 sweaters?
