Today I am going to share with you another holiday that we are celebrating this month, National Pomegranate Month. If you have eaten a pomegranate before, you may know these things about it:
1. It is a fruit that belongs to the berry family.
2. In the United States, pomegranates are usually grown from September to December in hot, dry climates.
3. Pomegranate translates to “grenade” in French. Look closely at the fruit and see if you can see why.
4. The pomegranate contains many vitamins, including Vitamins A, C, K, and B5. It is very healthy for you!
